4 boyfriends

I love that I have 4 boyfriends right now:

1. Gay Jerry-- my parterner in crime. All women should have a gay
boyfriend to make them feel fabulous

2. Italian Stallion Alex who takes me dancing & makes me laugh

3. Serious Brit who takes me to fancy dinners & to see rugby games

4. Sexy Aussie who takes me on magic carpet rides... but we never
leave the bedroom...

Good times

I love it when my friends say things like the following to me,

"Well, he DID play with your leg... I hope he wasn't HUMPING it."

mmm... it was funnier last night after 2 bottles of wine.

I love to vote.

And I love the fact that I get to vote in two countries. Yay me.

Italian Hospitals

This morning, I went back to the hospital to have my stiches taken out...My wound was absolutely disgusting. The stitches didn't take at all: the torn gap of skin was so large that the stitches didn't even do anything. When I asked the doctor what I should do with my cut, he said, "Anything you want."

"Can I work, shower, run, poke it with a fork?" (I swear I asked that!)

"Sure. Whatever you want."

And that was that.

Bells & a Warm Breeze

Picture this:

... a warm, care-free Saturday afternoon...
... rooftop terrace in Rome...
...champagne... bells chiming in the backgroud...
...a lovely breeze slowly comes by...
...making out with a hot aussie in a sun chair at 4pm...

...could there be anything more relaxing and fun?...

Motorino Accident

I just had a minor fall on oh my motorino (aka scooter). I was SOBER (I had left the pub but only had two pints of water!! ). I slipped on loose gravel and I slid on the ground for about 15-20 feet. As I was sliding, all I could think was that I was going to ruin my leather coat

Some nice dude stopped & helped me up. He took one look at the gash in my foot and said I needed to go the ER. I said I was fine but as soon as I took a step, a small fountain of blood spurted out of my foot (I just went back with friends to move my scooter and the puddles of blood on the road are still visible!)

This nice dude put me on his motorcyle and took me to the ER. I left a streak of blood down his motorcyle, and little pools of blood all down the ER halls (Ifelt
like I was making modern art!).

I was amazed at how efficient the Italian ER was-- in & out in 30 minutes (and FREE). The whole time I was being sewn up, all I could think about was that I had
ruined my fuschia pink stilettoes (I cleaned them today, and while there are blood stains still on them, they are wearable). While I got my stitches, stranger
dude just sat in the ER waiting to take me home--how sweet! (who else do you know tha would pick up a boy while bloody on the side of the street). But by then Neighbour had showed up to take me home.

But i am fine. And thankfully i had loooots of pain pills left over from my knee surgeries

Stitches come out on Friday.

Sicily with MeZack went beautifully. Other than staying in a scary mafia-infested neighbourhood (also full of fragrant fish markets), and the fact that we could not find any bars, we had a blast.

I ate squid ink (aka black) past every night, while MeZack recovered from his bout of food poisoning by drinking gallons of wine (the Sicilians weren't even shocked when we asked for plastic to-go cups).

One of the things I read about was the famous (or infamous) Fountain of Shame. I had to find it at all costs and dragged poor MeZack all over Palermo looking for it. When we (finally) did find it, we were ashamed... rightfully so, I guess.

Tuesday night we went to the beach and ate an amazing (fishy) meal with the cool breeze of the sea against our skin.

If you want a MUCH more colorful description of our trip, read MeZack's blog. Trust me, it's worth it.

To Visit Mafia-Land

I am about to take off for a whirlwind tour of Palermo with MeZack. I was given a free Eurorail pass so I decided to take an eleven (ELEVEN) hour train ride for about 40 hours in Palermo. But it will be worth it to be out of the house for a couple of days and to hang out with MeZack. Such fun, and we shall drink such good wine (if he gets over his food poisoining).

Mafia, here we come!

Blooper at the Modern

Today, I toured the National Gallery of Modern Art (here in Rome) with my course, and as many people can tell you (especially Red), I am not a huge fan of modern art. After four hours of staring at shit (like a clothes hanger or an upside-down urinal or... let's just stop here) I went to sit down on a couch (there were couches in most rooms) when my whole class screamed in horror and two guards came running towards me...

... I sat on art...

Heater and Alcohol = No Good

Please learn from my mistakes: don't come home on a Friday night (after a couple of bottles of wine for dinner) and try to fix your mother's water heater cause all you'll get out of if is your mother screaming at you Saturday morning at 5:40am because you flooded the house and almost made the water heater bust (thanks goodness for safety valves).

Lusting after a friend's ex-bf is a big no no in my book. HUGE no no.

... and yet... Aussie is so hot. What to do?

... what to do... ?

Alcohol at the Gym

You know it's going to be a fun day when you start off drinking champagne at 10.30 in the morning... at your gym... with your trainer.

St. Patty's Day

I cannot even describe how much fun St. Patty's Day was at my local Irish pub. I got there early, at 8.30pm, and the pub was already packed full of drunk people. I, of course, decided that I should start drinking as well. The owner of the pub gave me a silly hat (huge and green) that EVERYONE was envious of all night long.

Other than drinking countless pints of beer, and having to pee every 5 minutes, I started a brawl... all in all a good night!

Compliments are fun/ny

Today I was driving in my mom's litte car (in the rain) when a dude on a scooter pulled up next me and asked me to lower my window (keep in mind we were still moving, I did not stop). I ask him what's up...

Guy, "You're cute. Can I have your number?"
Me, horrified, "NO!!!"
Guy, "Come one!"
Me, still horrified, "Absolutely not!"
Guy, "Why not?"
Me, "Cause I fucking SAID so!" and I rolled my window back up

... but we all know that if he had been hot, I would have not only given him my number, but allowed him to jump in the car with me...
